Mr Tay is the Founder of Inspiration Design International School since 1989.
He is a distinction graduate with both Rhodec International in United Kingdom and the University of Canberra’s Bachelor, Australia majored in Applied Science in Environmental Design (Interior Design Specialisation).
He has over 28 years of professional experience in the environmental design industry and has worked on environmental design which includes landscaping, architecture, prestigious commercial and residential projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia and China.
Since 2004, Mr Tay has been a judge for the installations at the annual International Furniture Fair in Singapore and Career Fair. He is also a regular public speaker in environmental design seminars in Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam and China.
As the School Principal and Design Director, Mr Tay teaches across all spectrum of the curriculum based on his experience and live projects. He also institutes quality assurance on all teaching practices in the school.
Jean Chua is the co-founder and director of Inspiration Design International School. She has a vast amount of experience and knowledge in the Corporate Services. She oversees the efficient workflow of the Corporate Services which includes of maintaining strong client relations, establishing the professionalism within the organisation, and administration procedures.
Jean Chua plays a vital role in the organisation by sustaining strong client relations in the region’s of creative design industry.
Such relationship provides Inspiration students and graduates with the opportunities for real life learning experiences during their course of learning which prepares them to achieving a higher academic qualification overseas.
Jean was intimately involved in the planning, organisation and implementation of further career advancement for Inspiration’s students and graduates. This initiative has allowed Inspiration’s students and graduates to be assured in the revolutionising Creative Design Industry.
Academic & Examination Board
The Academic Board is the principal policy-making and advisory body on all matters relating to and affecting the School’s teaching, research and educational programmes. It presides over strategic planning and management processes and thus upholds academic quality and integrity, determining the educational character and mission of the school.
To ensure that academic standards and fair practices set by the Academic Board are rigorously maintained, the Examination Board takes responsibility for the development, proper implementation and review of all examination and assessment procedures.
The Academic and Examination Board meets at regularly scheduled intervals or when necessary to discuss and implement any issues brought to its attention.

Prof. Dalia Gallico is the Founder and President of the Fashion and Design Faculty at the University San Raffaele Roma (Italy).
With a Degree in Architecture as well as a Master’s of Specialization in Artistic Management and a Master’s of Research and Development of Artistic and Cultural Heritage, Prof. Dalia is heavily involved in the education and arts scene in Milan.
She is the President of ART LAB Association, which is a Research and Higher Education Center involved in Art, Fashion, Design, services, digitalization, communication, and environmental design. She also took part in various international projects for China, Brazil, Columbia, and India and has been published in numerous journals and conference publications.
Prof. Dalia is keen on educating the next generation and has supervised many postdoctorate students throughout her academic career.
Ms Ailing Ho is a qualified architect who has managed a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, and landscape projects ranging up over $51 million in value. She has also been involved in the project team of the high-end luxurious residential-resort developments overseas as well as a government hospital in Singapore.
She graduated with a Masters in Architecture from the National University of Singapore and a Masters in Sustainable Building Design with the University of Nottingham in collaboration with the Singapore BCA Academy.
Ms Ho has a keen interest in the field of Environmental Design and has been registered with the Board of Architects since 2003.
Mr Chong Huai Seng graduated from the University of Manchester with first class honours in Polymer Physics in 1973.
Mr Chong is currently a Director of Renate Kant Asia Pte Ltd, an art conservation studio that provides conservation and restoration services to the fine arts industry.
He is also a Director of Leading HR Pte Ltd and an Independent Director of Catalist-listed Plato Capital Ltd.
Mr Chong previously served as a Senior Officer with the Economic Development Board of Singapore for two years before joining the financial services sector in 1979, where he was the Managing Director of Vickers da Costa Securities and John Govett Asia for ten years from 1984 to 1994.
Mr Chong was the Managing Director of Sesdaq-listed Pan Pacific Public Company Ltd. between 1994 and 1997 and was the Vice Chairman and substantial shareholder of Panpac Media Ltd. from 1998 to 2003.
Dr Christopher Sear holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in the Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a Masters and Doctoral degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Manchester, UK. He is also a Chartered Chemist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK.
His career spans academic research and teaching, the creation and management of research teams in the pharmaceutical industry, and the commercial development of biomedical products and services. In addition to R&D, Dr Sear has developed skills in team-building, man-management and process standardisation through documentation and quality assurance.
In 2004, Dr Sear worked with A*STAR to complete the design, construction and start-up of the Biological Resource Centre as a biomedical hub in Biopolis, Singapore. In 2006, he conceived the need for a National Breeding Centre for research animals – to further support the burgeoning biomedical sector in Singapore – and subsequently gained Ministerial approval for the design and construction of this very specialised facility. Dr Sear over-saw the project from concept design to hand-over, and operationalised the installation as its first Managing Director.
In 2016, Dr Sear joined CCTech, a UK consultancy specialising in the design and development of highly-regulated biomedical facilities for British universities and industry. His specialism is the translation of scientific requirements and aspirations into refurbishment, new-build and enhancement projects for biomedical laboratories that are efficient, future-proof and cost-effective.
Mr Tham Heng Mun graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours.
He has 36 years of working experience with the Port of Singapore Corporation (PSA) and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) as Director (Corporate Services) and Deputy Director (Port Division). His experience is in marine policy matters, economic planning, shipping and maritime matters, port management, port development and policy analysis.
Having vast experience in the dealings of regional and international groupings such as the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Asia Pacific Economic Comission (APEC), ASEAN Port Association (APA), International Bunkering Industry Association (IBIA), International Port and Harbours and the Asia Pacific Economic Forum, Mr Tham specialises in imparting communication skills to students.
Mr Tham teaches Design Communications.
Mr Tan Yew Yaw (Jim) graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Architectural Studies) from the National University of Singapore in 1996 before obtaining a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from Deakin University, Australia in 2001.
He has over 16 years of design and consultancy experience in residential, commercial, and hospitality projects in Singapore and China. In 2005, Jim spent a year designing and developing resorts in Mi Yun, Beijing and Yang Shuo, Guilin. From 2009 to 2011, he worked in the Singapore branch of China’s Jing Ye Engineering Corporation on Resort World Singapore and Universal Studio Singapore, managing 28 Theming NSC packages and contracts.
Having designed, developed, constructed, and managed close to 20 local construction projects, Jim has an excellent understanding of the contribution regulations and the by-laws of Singapore.
A specialist in many Construction and Building software and solutions, Jim is much sought after for Building Information Management (BIM) consultancy, solutions, and training, For the past 10 years, he has provided BIM consultancy and training for various organisations in Singapore, China, Brunei, including MediaCorp, Singapore Polytechnic, Chengdu Architectural Design & Research Institute, and Brunei’s Public Work Development.
Mr Chia is a versatile manager and trainer experienced with domains like government, transportation, broadcasting, marketing and InfoTech.
At the Port of Singapore (PSA), Mr Chia developed computer systems. Before that he headed the Human Resources and Training Departments and personally conducted courses in Creative Thinking, Quality Circles and Port Management.
At MediaCorp Singapore Mr Chia, as Head of News, pivoted to the pacier CNN style, with more “live” coverage and direct reporting. As the first CEO of Radio, he made it profitable by drawing in 50% more advertising. He also personally conducted Creative Thinking workshops for his radio staff.
He was a pioneer of Cable TV in Singapore and the Asia Business News channel (now part of CNBC Asia). He worked at the C-level with multimedia companies like Pacific Internet, 1-Net Singapore, MNC Indonesia (JSX: MNCN) and Linktone Ltd (NASDAQ: LTON).
Mr Chia has a Masters degree (Civil Engineering) from MIT (USA). He was also a Colombo Plan scholar and scored double Bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Engineering (Hons I) and Economics from Newcastle (Australia). He was a part-time tutor for both universities for 4 years.

Au Yong Haw San Deborah, Senior Studio Manager

Ms. Haw-San Au-Yong (or San, as she prefers to be called) has an interesting and varied background; being trained in various engineering disciplines and also pursuing a degree in economics.
San worked 9.5 years in several multinational corporations, handling warehousing, transportation and process-redesign projects in the Asia-Pacific region. She managed the scoping, design, proposal and implementation stages of projects, before handing it off to the local operations team.
One of her major projects was setting up a bid-management process the Asia-Pacific region, so RFQs of different types can be turned around faster, with well-defined timelines and clear responsibilities.
Subsequently, in late-2012, San went on to start her own company helping her clients create functional residential, commercial and industrial spaces with efficient work flow and storage spaces. She has a keen analytical eye in identifying inefficient processes and believes that well-designed processes is the key to greater profitability and competitive advantage.
San has been featured or quoted in TV programs, newspapers and magazines on about 25 occasions since 2013. She holds 3 Masters degrees, upgrades herself constantly by reading up on behavioural psychology, and does keyboard recordings for a recording studio during her free time.
San teaches Design Communications.
Javin Soh Jing Ye, Senior Studio Manager
Master of Architecture (NUS), Bach. of Arts in Architecture (Hons)
Mr. Javin Soh graduated with a Master of Architecture after completing his Bachelor of Architecture studies from the National University of Singapore. He is also a certified Professional for Autodesk Revit under the Architecture course.
He is driven by a keen interest in design exploration, towards the intention of characterizing spaces with developed conceptual thoughts, letting it define its final form and look to its intended content for verification, leaving users with memorable spatial experiences.
With devotion to Architecture, he loves working with people, especially with people who share the same passion. He teaches acorss all subjects from Semester One (1) to Four (4).
Yii Yeong Ginn, Studio Manager
M.Sc. (Real Estate Investment & Finance), B.Arch.
Ar. Ginn graduated with a Master of Science qualification in Real Estate Investment and Finance from the Heriot-Watt University (UK) after graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University Technology of Malaysia. Ar. Ginn is also a registered Architect with the Board of Architect in Singapore.
With a diverse portfolio after more than twelve (12) years of experience working in the industry, she was heavily involved in in-house academic programs like internship mentoring and sharing sessions.
Ar. Ginn teaches across all subjects from Semester One (1) to Four (4).
Wong Shuk Shun, Studio Manager
Bach of Arts (Design), Specialist Dip. in Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Ms. Wong (Suzanne, as she prefers) has over 20 years of experience in Interior Design – holding both a Diploma in Interior Design from CAA and a Bachelor of Arts (Design) from Curtin University.
Ms. Wong has worked on a multitude of projects on Hospitality, Residential, Office, and Retail – such as Holiday Inn Express, Novotel at The Pines, Orchard Hotel, Grand Hyatt, Show Units for Palmerah Apartment, Terrace House at Greenwood Crescent, Condominium Units at Clementi Woods, Deutsche Bank, Orang Tua Head Office, Cortina, Bezel, Capitol Orchard, and may more.

Cheo Kae Jer, Studio Manager
Masters of Architecture, Bach. of Arts (Architecture)
After working three (3) years as an Architect, Mr. Cheo Kae Jer set up his own practice, e35 Pte Ltd in 2005. For the past fifteen (15) years, he has immersed, in joy and pain, in more than 200 projects – varying from residential, commercial, institutional, and exhibitions.
Coming from a home of entrepreneurs, Kae Jer’s spirit of exploration has spurred him to start a board game cafe in 2007, an events company in 2010, a student acre centre in 2016, and an e-commerce store in 2019.
Kae Jer started teaching as an adjunct lecturer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2014 and the American University of Phnom Penh in 2016. He felt that Inspiration opens an opportunity for him to get in touch with a spectrum of people, and for a great exchange of skills and knowledge.

Quek Yong Hua, Eldred, Studio Manager
BA. Archi (Hons), B.Engr (Mechanical)
Mr. Eldred Quek graduated with a Bachelors in Architecture (Hons.), as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
These experiences has exposed his knowledge to the different disciplines of both Architecture and Engineering. He is able to combine the aspects of Science and Design to the fullness of their functions, bringing out the best of both worlds when it comes to Design thinking and practices.
He is passionate, driven and possesses great knowledge and expertise. Mr Eldred Quek has been a Designer and Project Manager for architectural and interior projects with a combined experiences of more than 6 and a half years.

Tan Kwee Hong Kelvin, Studio Manager

Mr. Kelvin Tan graduated with an Honours in Interior Design from Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore. With more than nine (9) years of design experience in providing advice in both Residential and Commercial Interior Design fields, he possesses a wide spectrum of design studio knowledge and is constantly on the loop of the revolutionising Creative Industry. He is a vibrant individual with a strong passion for making a positive impact in the design scene and in the lives of others.
Mr. Kelvin Tan is also an avid cyclist and he believes in always moving forward with endurance and a steadfast attitude.

Sim Jun Quan, Studio Manager

Mr. Sim (Jayden, as he prefers) graduated from The Glasgow School of Art, Scotland with a Masters of Design in Interior Design after completing his Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design at the Glasgow School of Art, Singapore.
Upon attaining a scholarship for the Master’s Programme, Mr. Sim topped an international cohort with his research project and achieved the meritorious Chairman’s Medal of that year. With his experience and involvement across multiple design projects, he believes in pushing the boundaries to reach new pinnacles in the discipline.

Lee Li Ming, Studio Manager

Li Ming graduated from the Glasgow School of Art with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Interior Design after completing his Diploma in Interior Design at Singapore Polytechnic.
He comes from a multi-disciplinary interior architecture background and has more than eight years of hands-on experience with various types of interior projects. His areas of focus include concept direction, spatial planning, schematic design, and implementation.

Tan Jo-lyn, Studio Manager

Jo-lyn graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Design Communication from Goldsmiths, University of London, as well as a Diploma in Design Communication from LASALLE College of the Arts.
She is an Experience Designer specialising in human-centred experience design. Inspired by various design movements and cultures, she is open to exploring the design landscape and experimenting with new methods to create relevant and effective solutions.

Huang Jiaqi, Studio Manager

Jiaqi graduated from the Glasgow School of Arts (Singapore) with a B.A.(Hons.) in Interior Design. During her studies, she was the recipient of the Student Design Award.
She has over ten (10) years of experience in the design industry, during which she has worked with different firms.
Jiaqi specializes in design proposals, and construction drawings, and hopes to impart her experiences to her students.

Ang Wern Ling, Alison, Studio Manager

Alison graduated from the University of Exeter with a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Electrical Electronic Engineering. She also holds the Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP).
Her career in various roles and industries such as media and training allows her to view situations from different angles and perspectives.
As a continuous learner, she is enthusiastic about developing courses and training future generations of designers.

Margaret Goh Aik Suan, Studio Manager

Ms. Margaret Goh graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
She has been a professional interior designer for more than 10 years and has worked on local and international projects for companies like NOL, APL, American Eagle Tanker, DBS Office Towers, Sun Microsystem, PWC, and Philip Electrical.
Margaret’s range of design experiences spans both residential and commercial projects, with her specialty being banks and office designs.
Margaret teaches across all subjects from Semester One (1) to Four (4).
Jameson Liaw Yong Sheng, Studio Manager
Graduate Certificate in Information Technology, Diploma in Interior Design
Jameson is a graduate of IDIS’ Diploma in Interior Design program. Since then, he has gone on to further pursue two Specialist Diplomas in BIM and Architectural Technology from BCA and a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology from SIMGE.
With almost 20 years of experience, Jameson first started out as a freelance mural artist before joining the industry. Since then, he has gained many experiences in both residential and commercial projects.
Jameson is keen to impart his knowledge to future designers and open their minds to the world of design.

Seng Hong Lai, Studio Manager

Ms. Seng Hong Lai (Corrine, as she prefers) is a Distinction graduate of Inspiration Design International School’s Diploma in Interior Design. She also holds a Diploma in Graphic Design from Cre-Art Academy of Art.
Having work experiences of more than fifteen (15) years in the field of design, Ms. Seng was involved in the creation of designs for large-scale projects in Singapore.

Chong Yoke Heng, Studio Manager

Mr.Chong (Edwin, as he prefers) graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design from Inspiration Design International School. He also holds a Diploma in Animation.
Since his involvement with Interior Design projects from 2013 onwards, Mr. Chong’s projects range from retail to F&B and commercials projects. His clients include a local Burger franchise in Surabaya Indonesia, a Mega Korean-themed mall supermarket in Bangkok Thailand as well as the office space for Japanese gaming giant, Bandai Namco. Additionally, he is also part of a niche pool of Interior Designers in Singapore who provide design consultancy for cinemas.
He mainly teaches Digital Imaging 1 and 2, and Computer-Aided Design 1.
Mink Tan Tek Min, Studio Manager

Mr. Mink Tan graduated in Architecture from the University of Sydney before commencing his architectural training and setting up his own practice in 1999. He is a registered chartered architect in both Sydney and Singapore and specializes in innovative architecture and progressive interiors.
Mink and his team have worked on a portfolio of projects that include 5-star hotels, luxury residences, resorts, and F&B outlets for clients including the Fullerton Hotel Group, Fraser Hospitality, and the Far East Organization.
Mink teaches across all subjects from Semester One (1) to Four (4).
Khairuzamani Bin Mohamed Noor, Studio Manager
Adv. Dipl (ID), Dipl. (Engr.)
Mr. Khairuzamani graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design from Inspiration Design International School and also holds a Diploma in Civil & Structure Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic. He was also trained at Queensland University of Technology, University of Western Australia.
As a passionate designer, Mr. Khairuzamani has created innovative, intricate, and contemporary design work for projects he participated in over his fifteen (15) years of experience in the industry. He is also a talented photographer and has been showcased in various local and international magazines.

Toh Wee Liang, Studio Manager

Mr.Toh (William, as he prefers) graduated from Inspiration Design International School with a Diploma in Interior Design. He is also a trained ICE EDGE software user & designer.
Since graduation, Mr Toh has been involved in various projects ranging across the different design disciplines such as Interior Design and Product Design. His portfolio includes Residential, Retails, Hospitality and Commercial projects; as well as Packaging Design and much more, providing him with more than nine (9) years of exposure to the industry.

Mr. Chua graduated with a Diploma in Product Design (with Merit) from Temasek Polytechnic.
He has handled numerous local and overseas projects over his years of working in the industry. Mr Chua’s experience as a furniture designer gave him the foundational edge when it comes to crafting design that works and he quickly rose through the ranks at work.
He mainly teaches Design Studio 1, 2 & 3, Digital Imaging 1 & 2, Computer Aided Design 1 & 3 and Design Practice management.
Wang Jinlu Larry, Studio Manager

Mr. Wang graduated from the Glasgow School of Art, Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design (First Class Honours) after finishing his Diploma program in Temasek Polytechnic.
He has more than seven (7) years of experience working as a designer in various firms. Tapping on his design background, Mr. Wang co-founded and currently helms a freelance studio as its chief designer.

Ang Pooi Leh, Studio Manager

Ms. Ang graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in Architecture (First Class Honours) after completing her Diploma in Architectural Technology in Singapore Polytechnic.
She has over twenty (20) years of experience in the design field, being involved in various design projects across the course of her career.
She teaches across all subjects from Semester One (1) to Four (4).
Chong Siow Sing, Studio Manager

Mr. Chong graduated with a Diploma in Interior Design from Baharuddin Vocational Institute, now known as Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Design.
He is highly experienced in the furniture industry, and has also been active in educating the next generation of designers for more than twenty (20) years.

Ms. Tan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Design from the University of Canberra as well as a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Lincoln University.
With more than twelve (12) years of involvement in various design projects, she has a wealth of experience in the design industry.
She teaches across all subjects from Semester One (1) to Four (4).

Mr. Tan holds a Diploma in Interior Design.
He is an artist specialising in oil and watercolour paintings. His works, which often depict various forms of the building landscape, have been exhibited in Singapore and overseas.
Mr. Tan teaches across all subjects from Semester One (1) to Three (3).
